Exclusive Screening of Blackfish
‘If you were in a bathtub for 25 years, don’t you think you’ll get a little psychotic?’
'Blackfish tells the story of Tilikum, a performing killer whale that killed several people while in captivity. This emotionally wrenching, tautly structured story challenges us to consider our relationship to nature and reveals how little we humans have learned from these highly intelligent and enormously sentient fellow mammals.' - Official website http://blackfishmovie.com/about

ACRES conducts periodic, scientific investigations into the welfare of animals in zoos and marine parks throughout Asia for the purpose of raising the standards of captive environments across the region. Their work has led to improved welfare standards at zoos in Singapore, Malaysia and Japan.
Within Singapore, they rescue an average of about 1,000 distressed, injured, displaced, abandoned, and abused wild animals in a year. The ACRES Wildlife Rescue Hotline (+65 9783 7782) operates 24 hours each day, every day. Non-native animals - victims of the illegal wildlife trade - and injured animals are treated and rehabilitated in the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre (AWRC). The AWRC houses about 150 animals todate. Some await repatriation to their countries of origin for a second chance of life in the wild.
